My experience was incredible—it was my first time staying in a hostel, and I was pleasantly surprised! It’s safe, and the staff is absolutely lovely. Activities at discounted prices are offered. And every morning, homemade brownies are available! Located just 1 minute from 7-Eleven and very close to Waikiki. I highly recommend it 🥰

I stayed in the semi private female suite and the AC was a lifesaver. It was a pretty clean hostel but the bathrooms didn’t have the best ventilation so there was some mold on the shower curtains. I like that they had cleaning everyday and bedding. There was free coffee and brownies in the morning which was a plus! Everyone was very nice and I felt safe the entire time

Highly recommend this hostel. The location is very good. Close to many bus stations including 2/8/12 and W/E lines. Walkable (~20min walk) to Waikiki beach. Staff is super friendly. They serve brownies in breakfast time, and cold brew/ tea in fridge. You will be invited to join a whatsapp group and can meet with other residents. Some free activities are arranged by the hostels and also discounted tours available. You can borrow stuff like beach chairs, floaters, floating vests, boogie board, yoga mat etc free. Surfing board probably needs rental fee. I was assigned in a 4-bed room, quite clean. Password lock, no key required. There is a 2-bed single room inside with air con with extra fee. Shared toilet and bathroom among 6 residents. You need to bring your own toiletries eg shampoo/ shower gel/ toothpaste and towels. Better bring a pair of disposable hotel or indoor slippers as shoes are not allowed in the room but the floor can be sandy. Bed sheet, fitted sheet and pillow case are provided. No blanket but the temperature is optimal with fans on. There are clips and rails outside the room to hang your towels/ wet clothes. Better bring your own hangers if you want to hang inside the room. No free laundry. Lockers in the room but you need to bring your own lock (better a really regular lock, mine is long and thin and did not match the locker design) No lift, just stairs. So don’t bring a large luggage. Can store the luggage at hostels before check-in (free) and probably after check-out (did not ask if this is free or not). There are a big fridge, a microwave and stoves and sink inside the room. Cooking utensils, plates and cutlery are available at the shared kitchen on ground floor. Definitely will book Honu Waikiki by ALOH again if I go for another solo trip in Oahu.

This was a comfortable and relaxing place to stay in a convenient location walking distance to the beach. The food truck park nearby was great. The staff were lovely and welcoming and I enjoyed one of the day trips they had available as well - it was really fun and affordable. The bed was a little bit soft for my preference, but everything was clean and in good condition.

Joe Georgia This place was amazing for a good price. They provide all the necessary kitchen supplies and anything else you would need. They have boogie boards, sunscreen, beach chairs, and anything else you’d need to use and it was incredibly helpful for the beach. I would highly recommend this place. Joe and Georgia were also very nice and helpful to us throughout our entire stay.
