Wow! Surprised at how good the wagyu burger was! It comes with a red wine au jus sauce to dip it in that was so gourmet and paired amazingly well with the blue cheese. The french potato instead of fries was a nice touch. Their beignets are also good, and I highly recommend the strawberry hibiscus dipping sauce. Their coffee was also delicious, as they have a real espresso machine. I’m a coffee snob, and was very pleased with their cafe latte. They use and sell a local coffee blend made on Maui. The only feedback I would give is that the pricing for certain menu items is strangely high. For the beignets is already $12; and then to add on a sauce is an extra $3 for a small dipping container. It is on the pricier side even though it is called a cafe. The burger and potatoes also were a tad expensive. I don’t think I would come here regularly for food due to the prices but for coffee it is great. Host is very sweet. It was a nice overall experience.
This establishment is quite unassuming. The cuisine was exceptional, though the service was merely adequate. I found it necessary to remind the server about the credit card transaction and the requirement for a signature. The crepes were delectable; I particularly enjoyed the croque madame.
My party ordered the Banana Crepes, Ham & Cheese Croissant and Croque Monsieur. All were nicely done and a sufficient portion, though pricey. Staff were attentive and friendly. Limited number of tables, including 1 large and a few tables outside. We enjoyed a nice Father’s Day brunch, even though it was very warm inside (a/c probably down)
When you first enter the restaurant ambiance is nice down home feel. It seems today is a busy day and that they’re very overwhelmed. It took over 10 minutes for us to get a drinks ordered. The wait staff is lacking and the chef needs people to support him better. The chef came and took our order we had been waiting for some time.. We have yet to receive our drinks it’s been quite some time .The food was received then we had to request our drinks that we still had not received. The service left quite a bit to be desired, but the food was amazing and quite flavorful. My Crepe was delicious it very earthy and packed full of flavor. The burger was good and all together with the side of potato’s and the reduction made for a cohesive dish. The burger on its own was a little salt but all in all the dish was flavorful and delicious. Chef was nice when he came by just wish we could have thanked him. This is a restaurant I will return to.
The $16 acai bowl I got wasn’t blended and was in a plastic bowl. They literally scooped it out of the carton into a plastic bowl. The omelette was tiny for $17.50. Honestly so lame, will not be coming back. Seems like they’re happy to cut corners and overcharge for everything. Not sure what’s up with all the good reviews. Also no AC, just an overhead fan that blew crumbs from our Mille feuille all over us. I’m still pissed about how much we paid. $93 to leave hungry.
