Aloha Festivals 2026
Hawaiʻi's longest-running cultural celebration marks its 80th year in 2026. Free, three-part statewide celebration in Honolulu: the Royal Court Investiture & Opening Ceremony (Sept 5, 4–6 PM); the Waikīkī Hoʻolauleʻa street festival on Kalākaua Avenue with live music, hula, and food booths (Sept 19, 6–9:30 PM); and the Aloha Festivals Floral Parade, a procession of pāʻū riders and floats from Ala Moana Park along Kalākaua Avenue to Kapiʻolani Park (Sept 26, 9 AM–noon).
Eat The Street
Monthly food truck rally in Kaka'ako, typically held the last Friday of most months, roughly 4–9pm, featuring 40+ food trucks, live music, and rotating monthly themes. Free admission — food and drinks are purchased directly from vendors. Honolulu Century Ride 2026
An untimed, non-competitive community bike ride (not a race) tracing Oʻahu's South Shore and Windward Coast, with 25, 50, 75, and 100-mile route options turning around at Sandy Beach Park, Kailua Intermediate School, KEY Project (Kahaluʻu), and Swanzy Beach Park respectively. Riders line up at 5:15 AM with an official 6:15 AM start on Kalākaua Avenue; roads remain open to traffic throughout.
Nā Wāhine O Ke Kai 2026
The world championship of women's long-distance outrigger canoe racing, crossing the roughly 41-mile Kaʻiwi Channel from Hale O Lono Harbor on Molokaʻi to Waikīkī. Crews start around 7:30 AM; front-of-field boats typically finish between 1:00–1:30 PM, with the last crews in by late afternoon along the Fort DeRussy/Kahanamoku Beach shoreline. Free to watch from the beach.
Aloha Stadium Night Market
Monthly evening night market at Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace, held the first Friday of every month, 4–10pm. Launched March 2026 in partnership with Millwood Ohana Productions, the market features food vendors, live music, fashion presentations, and family-friendly activities that change monthly. Admission: $10 for ages 12+, $5 for ages 6–11, free for ages 5 and under.
First Friday Honolulu Art Walk
Monthly art gallery walk through Downtown Honolulu and Chinatown, held on the first Friday of every month. Galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and bars stay open late with art exhibits and live entertainment along the district's streets.
